Bornholm offers lots of experiences for you who want to experience Bornholm, a quiet relaxing holiday, or an active holiday in the stunning nature of Bornholm, both summer and winter.
A popular activity is a walk in the woods where you can experience Døndalen, or a short boat trip to see the “camel heads”. Experience the unique Bornholm nature and take a walk along the rocky coast around Sannes Familiecamping by Gudhjem, and see the beautiful sunset.
Take an experience in Gudhjem, Denmark’s only mountain town, around the harbor and see the beautiful half-timbered houses and grab a lunch at the smokehouse or some of the many local restaurants and cafes in the town. In Gudhjem you will also find the caramel cookery. Experience the beautiful sunset from Bokul, a 48 meter high mountain with a view of Gudhjem, the harbor and the sea.
Christiansø is a fantastic experience of the world’s first naval base and an impressive fortification from 1684 with a wealth of historic buildings. The island is today protected but still home to about 100 residents and a popular activity.
Christiansøfarten departs from Gudhjem daily a walk from Sannes Familiecamping and the sailing trip takes about 1 hour.
If the weather is mostly for indoors, the Karamel Kompagniet in Gudhjem is worth a visit to see how caramels are made and taste. In Gudhjem you will also find Gudhjem Glasrøgeriet, which by its nature is a nice warm place where you can see lots of beautiful glass creations and how they are made.

High Park is Bornholm’s Climbing Course and is located in a large forest area just outside Gudhjem. Here the whole family can try their hand at climbing the treetops and have a fantastic experience together. The climbing path is close to the campground.
At the Opal Lake, 7 km north of the campground, you can get a tummy tuck in a ride on the zip-line from the top of the cliff down to the Opal Lake before hitting the water. You will feel like taking another go at this. Right next to the zip-line there is a great opportunity for climbing and rappelling for both children and adults. A really adventurous day in nature.
Melsted Trolling Center is the place for you who love to be at sea and have a penchant for not being quiet. Here you can read fishing on the sea with rod and children as well as adults are very welcome. The trolling center is next door to Sannes Familiecamping so the catch can be placed on the grill immediately.
So yes, there is a ski slope on Bornholm and fortunately right next to Sannes Familiecamping so it is easy to get to from the campsite. The ski slope is equipped with a snow cannon so that snow can be produced for both skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing, like this! So there are also activities for the active during the winter period if it is too cold for surfing.
