Where we are
Our campsite is in an excellent position on the island for any holiday experience.
Several beautiful hiking trails lead out from the campsite.
One runs alongside the Kobbe river to Stavehøl waterfall, and from there on to Østerlars Round Church.
Another follows the beautiful rocky coastline to the idyllic fishing village of Melsted, where there is a lovely sandy beach. This is also the home of the agricultural museum, Melstedgård.
From here, the trail continues to Gudhjem, sometimes described as “Scandinavia's answer to the tropics”.
Here you will find glass-blowing, herring-smoking and a great many small, interesting eateries. Boat trips also depart from here, either across to Christiansø island, or along the coast to Helligdom Rocks (the Sanctuary Rocks).
For more active guests, there is a swimming centre and tennis courts, and just a few kilometres further along you will find a golf course, art museum and any number of craftsmen and pottery workshops.
